Reason for the emergency repairs

Slope movement has occurred along approximately 200 lineal feet of NE Woodinville Duvall Road. The slope movement has resulted in significant longitudinal cracking that extends up to six feet into the pavement of the westbound (northern) travel lane. The crack varies from about one to two inches in width with void space measured up to four feet in depth below the pavement surface with a steel tape. Roads geotechnical staff have evaluated the issue and recommend removal of a portion of the roadway and reconstruction.

NE Woodinville Duvall Road is owned and maintained by King County. More than 10,500 vehicles use the road daily, which leads to the City of Duvall.
