• Created over 70 acres of landscaped open space & wildlife habitat devoted to public open space
• 43 acres are now restored salmon habitat, wetlands and reforestation area including
• 29,000 square feet of pond habitat
• An amphibian shelf and ladder system were built between two open wetland systems
• Over 1,300 feet of stream corridor restored
• 350 feet of new stream corridor created
• Most mature vegetation was retained throughout the site
• Banks restored with native plants, over 300,000 plants on site
• Natural storm water filtration improved quality of flows to Little Bear Creek
• Re-used more than 200 trees and root wads from the site and the Route 9 construction project
• Already a documented Audubon annual bird count location.
