- Created over 70 acres of landscaped open space & wildlife habitat devoted to public open space
- 43 acres are now restored salmon habitat, wetlands and reforestation area including
- 29,000 square feet of pond habitat
- An amphibian shelf and ladder system were built between two open wetland systems
- Over 1,300 feet of stream corridor restored
- 350 feet of new stream corridor created
- Most mature vegetation was retained throughout the site
- Banks restored with native plants, over 300,000 plants on site
- Natural storm water filtration improved quality of flows to Little Bear Creek
- Re-used more than 200 trees and root wads from the site and the Route 9 construction project
- Already a documented Audubon annual bird count location.
