New Web address, Web site upgrades for King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division

Schedule a treatment plant tour, report system-related concerns, and learn more about your regional clean-water utility by visiting the Wastewater Treatment Division’s new Web address at www.kingcounty.gov/wtd.

In addition to the new domain, the Web site also features design improvements and other upgrades to make it more user-friendly and informative.

The Wastewater Treatment Division, which is part of the county’s Department of Natural Resources and Parks, joins other county government offices that have already transitioned from www.metrokc.gov to the new www.kingcounty.gov domain since July 2007.

County e-mail addresses have also changed to a format incorporating the new domain and will use the format firstname.lastname@kingcounty.gov.

Because Web site and e-mail addresses with the old metrokc.gov are expected to stop working as early as Jan. 1, 2009, people are asked to take note of the changes and update computer address books and bookmarks.

More information is available by calling the Wastewater Treatment Division at 206-684-1280 or 711 TTY.

The county’s Wastewater Treatment Division protects public health and water quality by serving 17 cities, 17 local sewer districts and more than 1.4 million residents in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Formerly called Metro, the regional clean-water agency now operated by King County has been preventing water pollution for more than 40 years.
