Maleng Regional Justice Center (MRJC) Remodeling for Southeast District Court Relocation

CONSTRUCTION ALERT

  The west entrance to the MRJC Courthouse (from the parking garage) will close on Thursday, November 8 through late spring 2013.

During construction, the entrance to the Courthouse will be through the east entrance on the Fourth Ave. side. Detour signage will be posted.

Remodeling work to accommodate the consolidation of District Court services at the Maleng Regional Justice Center (MRJC) began October 1st, 2012. All MRJC tenants and users will be impacted by this work. The project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2013.

This project will transform part of the first floor of the MRJC by converting the space into four District Court courtrooms, one multi-purpose courtroom, judges' chambers, clerk space, and a public counter.  When the project is complete, there will be a single secure entrance to the MRJC from the parking garage on the west side of the courthouse. The doors on the east side, going to Fourth Avenue, will become exit only. This will help improve the flow of people through the screening process.
