Preparedness for residents and businesses

Preparedness is the foundation of emergency management here in King County. Preparedness includes both "personal preparedness" - being prepared at home, in your car, or at your children's school - as well as "business preparedness" - being prepared at your place of employment, no matter if you are self-employed, work at a small office, or a large corporation.

If each of us take simple steps to prepare before the next emergency at home or at our place of business, it means we will all fair much better when the next disaster hits. Whether you haven't started becoming prepared, or already have started but need to find more information on being better prepared, you'll find more information here.

Get started today, our next emergency or disaster could happen tomorrow. Are you ready?

I want to prepare myself, my family, and my home.

I want to prepare my workplace or business.
