Planning, Rural Service and Environment Committee
The Council's Planning, Rural Service and Environment Committee considers and makes recommendations on polices relating to:
- growth management, including land use development and regulation, comprehensive planning and annexations;
- the environment, including: salmon recovery; resource lands; energy; surface water management and water supply; and unincorporated and rural areas, including agriculture and rural services;
- local government; and
- the implementation of appropriate labor agreements.
In the areas within the committee's purview, the committee tracks state and federal legislative action and develops recommendations on policy direction for the biennial budget.
