Bellevue Resident Anne Repass Approved as King County Library Board Trustee

Summary

“I’ve been grateful to be able to support and assist our magnificent library system as a reader, library user, and as a Trustee.”

Story

Metropolitan King County Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn announced today that Bellevue resident Anne Repass will continue as a member of the King County Library Board of Trustees after the Council unanimously approved her reappointment to the board.

“I’m grateful that we have residents as qualified and willing to step up to serve their communities as Anne Repass,” said Dunn. “Her qualifications are impressive and reflect someone who is deeply committed to the core mission of our public libraries.”

“I am extraordinarily proud of the King County Library System,” said Repass. “I’ve been grateful to be able to support and assist our magnificent library system as a reader, library user, and as a Trustee. King County’s libraries are world-class, and we will continue to work to ensure that they are accessible to all and meet the needs of our communities.”

Repass holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mills College and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Georgia. As the past president of both the Seattle Public Library Foundation and the University of Washington Friends of the Libraries, among other nonprofit involvement, Repass has a deep understanding of the issues facing county libraries.

Library Trustees serve as at-large members for no more than two consecutive five-year terms. Repass’ term as a Trustee will last until January 1, 2024.
