What is the KCICC?

The King County Birth-to-Three system is part of a statewide system of Birth-to-Three services directed by the Washington State Department of Early Learning's Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program. Every county has a Local Lead Agency (LLA) that is responsible for coordinating its Birth-to-Three system and each LLA has an Interagency Coordinating Council.

In King County, the LLA is the Developmental Disabilities and Early Childhood Supports Division (DDECSD) and the advisory board for Birth-to-Three services is the KCICC. The KCICC advises and assists DDECSD with planning and coordinating services at the community level. 

KCICC Mission 

The mission of the KCICC is to create collaborations that work towards providing comprehensive, culturally competent, family centered and community based services for all children birth to three years of age with special needs and their families in King County.

Join the KCICC

The KCICC has up to 25 voting members and invites all community members to participate in any of the meetings. Voting members include families, Birth-to-Three Providers, and community representatives (early learning and public education, health and mental health, private Birth-to-Three Providers, higher education, government and community based infant, toddler, or family programs.)
