MIDD Advisory Committee
Behavioral Health and Recovery Division
MIDD Advisory Committee was formally established with approval of Ordinance 16077 passed by the King County Council on April 28, 2008, and renamed and revised for MIDD 2 via Ordinance 18452 on January 31, 2017.
The MIDD Advisory Committee is an advisory body to the Executive and Council. Its purpose is to ensure that the implementation and evaluation of the strategies and programs funded by the MIDD sales tax revenue are transparent, accountable, collaborative and effective.
The MIDD Advisory Committee is a unique partnership of representatives from the health and human services and criminal justice communities. Recognizing that King County is the countywide provider of mental health and substance abuse services, the committee will work to ensure that access to mental health and chemical dependency services is available to those who are most in need throughout the county, regardless of geographic location.
