Dockton dock and Tramp Harbor pier surveys topic of June community meetings

King County Parks is inviting residents to community meetings to learn about the findings from an online survey about recreational use of Vashon public docks.

King County Parks will host two community meetings on Vashon Island to share findings from an online survey launched in early May to gather information about how the public uses facilities at Dockton Park and the fishing pier at Tramp Harbor.

Representatives from King County Parks and Vashon Park District will be on hand to present the findings and answer questions.

The meetings are set at McMurray Middle School in the multipurpose room on Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The online survey is available at until 5 p.m. on June 5.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and participants are asked a wide variety of questions about recreational uses and frequency of visits at the two parks. Community members are encouraged to complete the online survey, and to share the link widely to ensure broad representation.
