The First Tech Movies@Marymoor, presented by Overlake Medical Clinics, kicks off its 13th season of weekly summertime movies at King County’s Marymoor Park on July 5.
Have a picnic, chat with friends, play some trivia and enjoy the beauty of King County’s Marymoor Park this summer at the First Tech Movies@Marymoor, presented by Overlake Medical Clinics.
Now in its 13th season of outdoor movies, the series runs weekly from July 5 through Aug. 23 with all events taking place on Wednesdays except for one Tuesday event on Aug. 8.
Opening night is July 5 featuring the J.K. Rowling book turned-hit-movie, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The series continues on July 12 with the 2016 musical sensation and 14-time Oscar nominee, “La La Land,” starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
The weekly showings continue in July with animated favorite “Moana” on July 19 followed by the true story of “Hidden Figures” on July 26.
In August, the animated comedy “Sing” shows on Aug. 2, followed by the original 1984 “Ghostbusters” on Aug. 8; Disney’s “Finding Dory” on Aug. 16; and the popular action flick “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” on Aug. 23 to finish the season.
All Movies@Marymoor events feature a movie trivia contest, a selection of variety entertainment and food trucks including; Wicked Pies pizza, Charlie’s Buns n’ Stuff, Buddha Bruddah mixed plates, Kiss My Grits, Express Mexican Kitchen, Caramia’s Sweetie Treaties and Custom Kettle Corn.
Movies are shown on a 40-foot inflatable movie screen. All events are “bring your own seating,” dog friendly and smoke free. Event entry is $5 per person for all activities, and kids age 5 and under are free. Seating opens at 6:30 p.m., and movies start at dusk. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
