Crews respond to non-toxic construction clay spill near Lake Sammamish
A King County sewer utility contractor working on a pipeline construction project near Lake Sammamish in Bellevue reported a small non-toxic construction clay spill Thursday night. Cleanup is underway and the incident poses no risk to public health.
Overnight work scheduled for King County sewer upgrade project in Bellevue
King County sewer utility crews are scheduled to work up to 24 hours straight on a time-sensitive project to install a new 1,600-foot sewer pipeline beneath a section of Southeast 38th Street in Bellevue. The installation is weather-dependent and expected to begin on March 16.

Eastgate sewer improvement project open house set for March 12
King County will host an open house at the Lake Hills Library on Monday, March 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. to share information about its Eastgate Interceptor Pipeline Rehabilitation Project in Bellevue. The project is needed to upgrade two 2,400-foot-long sewer lines in service since the early 1960s.

Executive Constantine kicked off a major King County infrastructure project in Georgetown that will treat up to 70 million gallons of polluted stormwater that currently flows into Duwamish River during severe rainstorms. King County successfully competed for low-interest federal loans that will cover nearly half of the construction costs.
