Summer Edition

New look!
Welcome back One Less Bag Challenge pledge takers! Since you've last heard from us we made some minor changes to the newsletter. It's a new look but we're still your go-to resource for recycling and waste prevention.

We are continuing our quest to get more One Less Bag pledges— make one less bag of garbage per month! Our goal in 2014 is to gather 700 pledges. Please pass on the pledge to your friends and family members. This year, pledgers will not only receive a recycling kit, but will also be entered into a monthly drawing for a free stainless steel kitchen food scrap container (with odor filter). Thanks for recycling and helping your friends and family get involved!

Magazines & Junk Mail

Did you know? We still put paper in the garbage!

We care about recycling in King County, but, 8 out of 10 homes still have recyclable paper in their garbage! Rethink your recycling. Almost all paper is recyclable, including home office paper, junk mail (even windowed envelopes), magazines, cartons and things like frozen food (no food please) and cereal boxes.
