Volunteers needed! Join the Lake Stewardship Program and help us monitor water quality in King County!

We are currently looking for volunteers who live on or have direct access to Lake Margaret and Lake Sawyer, who are interested in helping us monitor water quality in King County.  Volunteers need to have their own water craft, and will head out on the lake 12 times from May through October to take measurements and collect samples.  King County will provide training, sampling equipment, and will pick up water samples to deliver to our Environmental Laboratory.  We also provide technical assistance, data summaries, and offer workshops on numerous lake topics.

If you’re interested in being a volunteer, please contact Rachael Gravon at 206-477-4845 or Chris Knutson at 206-477-4739 with any questions.

For questions about the Lake Stewardship Program, please contact Rachael Gravon, Water Quality Planner or Chris Knutson, Project Manager.
