King County Elections mailed ballots to about 1.3 million registered voters for the November 8 General Election.

King County Elections certified the final results of the April 26, 2016 Special Election today. Total voter turnout was 32% percent.
Watch your mailbox for Presidential Primary Election ballots
King County Elections mailed ballots today, May 4, to approximately 1.3 million registered voters for the May 24 Presidential Primary Election.
“We want to be able to count every ballot received in this election,” said Julie Wise, Director of King County Elections. “In order to do that, all voters must not only sign the declaration on their envelope, but also declare a party preference when voting in this election.”
King County Elections and Seattle Foundation partner to fund community-based voter engagement
King County Elections and Seattle Foundation are teaming to make voting more accessible to communities who speak a language other than English. The project will provide more than $140,000 to community-based organizations this year to do voter engagement with Chinese, Korean, Latino, and Vietnamese communities across King County.
Today is the election day voting deadline
Today is the election day deadline for voters in Issaquah, Kent, Lake Washington and Vashon Island school districts as well as for the City of Maple Valley and six special purpose district measures throughout King County.
King County Elections proposes locations for 43 ballot drop boxes
Director of Elections Julie Wise has proposed locations for 43 ballot drop boxes in a plan to improve voter access across King County. The proposed locations will be considered by the King County Council in the coming weeks. Under the proposed plan 91.5% of King County residents will live within 3 miles of a ballot drop box.
Special election logic and accuracy test tomorrow
King County Elections will perform logic and accuracy testing on ballot counting and processing equipment tomorrow, April 12, at 1 p.m. at the King County Elections office, 919 SW Grady Way in Renton.

King County Elections certified the final results of the February 9, 2016 Special Election today. Total voter turnout was 29% percent.
King County to quadruple ballot drop box locations and expand outreach
A proposal by King County Elections Director Julie Wise would quadruple the number of ballot drop-boxes across King County, from 10 to 40, and increase voter outreach in communities where English is not the primary audience. The County Council’s Budget Committee approved funding for the expansion today.
