Election observation changes due to Covid-19

The safety of the public and our workers is paramount while securely processing ballots in our facility. To address this concern, we have protocols in place that allow us to continue to process ballots efficiently while making the floor observable.

All staff, observers and visitors in our facility are required to wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth.

Individuals with any symptoms related to COVID-19 - including but not limited to fever or chills, a cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea - should not visit the Elections office. Those exhibiting symptoms may be asked to leave the ballot processing floor.

All individuals at the Elections facility shall continue frequent handwashing, sanitizing, and maintain a reasonable distance from staff while observing.

Please remember that this is an ever-changing landscape and additional requirements may be requested based on new information we receive. We ask that observers be flexible and work with us to maintain a safe work environment for our teams.

Thank you for working with us! We look forward to your participation in the upcoming election.

Observation dates and information will be available about 30 days before the election.
