Summary

Public Health — Seattle & King County is offering sponsorship to organizations that have community health worker staff or volunteers to offset the organizations’ cost for their participation in the following training opportunities.

  1. Washington Department of Health Core Competency Training:
    This is a 10-week core competency training program that provides content and practice on the fundamental skills, knowledge, and abilities for community health workers.

  2. Washington Department of Health Continuing Education Health Specific Modules (HSMs):
    For CHWs that complete the WA DOH Core Competency Training, there are modules that include more in depth knowledge and practice for over thirty topics.

Pre-application conference

Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) hosted one (1) pre-Application conference for this RFA on June 17, 2022 to allow interested organizations to hear more about the program and to ask questions about the program and/or the application process. Please see Addendum 1 above that answers questions about this RFA.

New pre-application conference details:

Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) will conduct another pre-Application conference for this RFA. This conference will be an opportunity for interested organizations to hear more about the program and to ask questions about the program and/or the application process. The conference will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Interested parties may join through their computer or phone.
