And on Thursday, the King County Prosecutor’s Office charged Maurice Lyle Williams. 68, of Seattle with first-degree assault. He is in King County Jail on $500,000 bail, which was the amount the court set at his first appearance.

KING 5: Judge sentences man convicted of brutally murdering Boeing retiree, stealing his property
On Friday, 43-year-old Jeremy Shaw was convicted of murder in the first-degree and arson in the second degree for the brutal killing of 67-year-old Steven Morphis, a retired Boeing worker. The King County Prosecuting Attorney's office said Shaw, a Tacoma resident, was trying to occupy Morphis' home and take over his land. Shaw faces 45 years in prison.

King County prosecutors have charged a 43-year-old man who is suspected of attacking another man at an encampment with an ax, a board and a pole in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood Friday. Julian Brassea-Caballero is being charged with second-degree assault, according to charging documents.
