Search and Rescue members spend Christmas rescuing others
(Snoqualmie area) More than 50 volunteer members from King County’s Search and Rescue Unit spent much of Christmas Day and evening rescuing hikers in the mountains off of I90. The first mission was spent searching for a lost hiker near Rattlesnake Ledge Trail. The second involved rescuing a hiker who had been injured from falling ice near Franklin Falls and the third was finding a man who became lost hiking the Mt. Si trail.
Man shot on bus
(Renton, WA) A man is in critical condition after being shot during a disturbance on a Metro bus. Witnesses said the victim and suspect were talking when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim at least once. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was appended while walking nearby by Renton Police Officers. (Case#C16060693)
More DUI patrols in southeast King County
(King County) The King County Sheriff’s Office will conduct increased DUI patrols again this weekend in southeast King County. Focus will be on arresting impaired drivers and educating the public and businesses before impaired drivers hit the road.
Update on deadly Shoreline home invasion
King County Sheriff’s detectives have released more information about a home invasion robbery that occurred Saturday in Shoreline where one of the suspects was shot and killed by the resident.
Suspect shot and killed during home invasion robbery
(Shoreline) An armed intruder was shot and killed this morning after he and another suspect kicked in the front door to a home in Shoreline. Detectives said the resident shot and killed the armed suspect while the other suspect fled the scene on foot. (Case#C16057829)
Officials search for remains of Green River killer victims
(Tukwila) King County Sheriff’s Office detectives and King County Search and Rescue members conducted an evidence search on Saturday morning near Tukwila for victim remains in the Green River killer case.
Real estate agent arrested for stealing prescription medication from home
(Unincorporated Renton) King County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a real estate agent after he was caught on camera stealing prescription medication from a homeowner that had listed their home for sale. He was charged with Residential Burglary. #C16056960
Organized crime investigation nets 5 arrests, $980,000
(Shoreline) Shoreline Police undercover detectives served 11 searched warrants on properties in King and Snohomish County last week after a 12 month long investigation into an organized crime ring involved in money laundering and the illegal manufacturing and unlicensed distribution of marijuana. Arrest made in Shoreline double shooting
(Renton) King County Sheriff’s detectives have made an arrest in the double shooting that occurred last night in Shoreline. A 27 year old Renton man was arrested at his parents’ home in the 18600 block of 109th Ave SE around 8:30 this evening. (Case#C16056102)
Detectives search for remains of Green River killer victim
(Northeast King County) King County Sheriff’s detectives searched a wooded area near Duvall today looking for remains of a victim of the Green River killer. Detectives said the information about this specific location is not new but a thorough search of the area had not been done before.
Sketch released in Covington home invasion robbery
(Covington) King County Sheriff’s detectives have released a sketch of one of the home invasion suspects who pistol whipped and robbed a couple in Covington early Tuesday morning. (Case#C16055778)
Two men shot at house in Shoreline
(Shoreline) Two men are in critical condition after being shot outside of a house in Shoreline this afternoon. Both men were shot multiple times and were taken to Harborview Medical Center.(Case#C16056102)
Results of Halloween DUI emphasis
The King County Sheriff’s Office and 17 other local law enforcement agencies in King County participated in a DUI Emphasis last weekend. During the emphasis 399 vehicles were stopped and 30 DUI arrests were made.
Covington home invasion robbery
(Covington) King County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred early this morning in the City of Covington. The victims were home sleeping when three suspects kicked in their front door and pistol whipped them during the robbery. (Case#C16055778)
Sheriff's office trying to locate family members of fallen deputies
The King County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating any and all family members of King County Sheriff’s Deputies who have fallen in the line of duty. The Sheriff’s Office is dedicating a memorial to the 16 deputies who have been killed in the line of duty since the county was created in 1852.
Update on officer involved shooting
(Muckleshoot Reservation) – King County Sheriff John Urquhart has ordered the release of additional information related to what led up to an officer-involved shooting that occurred on the Muckleshoot Reservation on October 21st. Renee Davis, 23, was shot and killed by officers who responded to a report of an armed, suicidal woman with children in the house.
Detectives asking for public's help in diamond robbery
(SeaTac) King County Sheriff’s detectives are trying to locate anyone who may have witnessed a diamond robbery in SeaTac on Tuesday. The victim’s were driving on the northbound on-ramp to I-5 at S188 St when two vehicles blocked them in. Two masked men approached the victim’s car, broke two car windows and took a bag containing over $400,000 in diamonds. Witnesses may have mistakenly thought they had seen a traffic accident.
