(Pier 91) if you see some strange activity involving helicopters, boats and a Water Taxi Wednesday July 26th don’t fret; it’s a large scale training drill hosted by the King County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Section. The multi-agency drill will be conducted in Puget Sound between Pier 91 and Discovery Park from 4pm until 12am.
Pursuit ends in crash
(SeaTac) On July 22nd, 2017, Deputies in SeaTac believed that they spotted the suspect in the rape of the 83yoa woman at an assisted living facility in their city two days prior. When they attempted to stop the man, he jumped into a car with an acquaintance and fled with the police pursuing him. The pursuit ended several miles later when the vehicle crashed.
Standoff with kidnapping suspect ends peacefully
(Unincorporated Duvall) On July 23rd, 2017, at around 6am, a woman called KCSO 911 to report that she had just escaped from her boyfriend after he had kidnapped her several hours earlier from somewhere near Everett. At around 12pm, KCSO Patrol Deputies as well as members of the Tac-30 team (S.W.A.T), and Hostage Negotiation team (HNT) were able to convince the man to surrender after 3.5 hours of negotiation.
Update: Suspect arrested in sexual assault
(SeaTac) On July 20th 2017, an 83yoa woman was raped and physically assaulted while alone in her room at an assisted living facility in Sea Tac. In the late evening of July 22, University of Washington Police Officers arrested the suspect at a light rail station on the UW Campus.
Elderly woman sexually assaulted at assisted living facility
(SeaTac) An 83yoa woman is recovering today after being brutally assaulted both physically and sexually on Thursday July 20th. The woman was alone in her room at an assisted living facility in SeaTac when an unknown man came into her room through an open window and assaulted her.
(Seattle) a man was found dead early this morning in a ravine near 17 Pl S. and Des Moines Memorial Drive. King County Sheriff’s detectives are calling the death a homicide but are not releasing how the man died. (C17034134)
Deputy involved fatal traffic accident
(Fife) A Sheriff’s Office Deputy, age 38, was driving home from work just after 2am this morning when he struck a pedestrian who was in the middle of the roadway near the 2400 block of Pacific Hwy South in Fife.
