4th of July reminders
Many of you are wondering if you can use fireworks in your area on the Fourth of July. Fireworks are prohibited in many of our contract cities but are allowed in unincorporated King County. (see list attached) Keep in mind that only “common fireworks” are legal to possess and use in Unincorporated King County.
Man shoots another man then kills himself
(SeaTac) A man shot and wounded another man then turned the gun on himself in a shooting in SeaTac Saturday night. (C17031294)
Update to Officer Involved Shooting
(Burien) around midnight on June 13th, the Sheriff’s Office received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a “man with a knife” and gunfire. Callers described the suspect as wearing “black shorts” and shouting “I am the Creator” and “I am the killer” as he tried to stab people.
Deputy shoots man claiming to be "The Creator"
(Burien) A homeowner fired a warning shot at a man running at him with a sharp object in his hand. When Deputies responded to the scene, the suspect came at them as well. Two tasers were ineffective in stopping the suspect and he was shot by one Deputy as he advanced on them. The suspect died of his injuries.
Beware of the jury scam!
(King County) Have you recently been called by someone claiming to be a King County Sheriff’s deputy telling you that you failed to show up for jury duty? Have they asked you to pay a fine over the phone in order to keep from going to jail? Be warned this is a SCAM and is NOT the King County Sheriff’s Office!
Woman shot and killed during fight
A physical fight between two women turned deadly this morning when one of the women produced a gun and shot and killed the other.(C17027942)

(Pier 91) if you see some strange activity involving helicopters, boats and a Water Taxi Wednesday don’t fret; it’s a large scale training drill hosted by the King County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Section. The multi-agency drill will be conducted in Puget Sound between Pier 91 and Discovery Park from 4pm until 12am
Operation "Extra Olives" nets five arrests
the Sammamish Police Department and King County Sheriff’s Office have arrested five people after a six-month long investigation revealed suspects were using and then selling cocaine at a Papa John’s Pizza while working there. (C16055216)
