Burien, WA. Victim shot at the 13600 BLK of 1 AVE S, a passerby heard a gunshot and saw a male lying on the shoulder of the road.


Sunday morning, 03/18/18 just after 1 AM, a motorist was driving on 1 AVE S and heard a gun-shot and saw a male lying on the shoulder of the road.  The suspect described only as a male in dark clothing, was seen walking/running away from the scene. 

KCSO/Burien Deputies arrived on-scene quickly and found a male lying unresponsive on the side of 1 AVE S.  Deputies provided CPR to the victim, while they waited for medics to arrive.  Once the Medics arrived they continued life saving measures and transported the victim to Harborview Hospital in critical condition. 

An extensive K9 track was conducted for the suspect, but he was not located.

Today, 03/20/2018 Detectives learned the victim had died from the gunshot wound he had suffered Sunday night.  He is a 56 year old male from the Seattle area. 

This is an open and ongoing investigation by King County Major Crime’s unit.  More updates are to follow when we have additional information.
