Transit passes are the mainstay of many commuter benefit programs. They are highly valued by employees and can be low to no-cost for the company.

The ORCA card offers a menu of transportation programs – all on a single card – and access to seven transit agencies: Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit and Washington State Ferries. Choose from two great business programs: 

• Business Choice allows you to provide monthly transit passes at retail prices, as well as an electronic purse (e-purse) for employees that use the bus, train or ferry.
• Business Passport is a comprehensive, annually fixed-priced program that you provide to all employees; it generally includes vanpool and vanshare in addition to regional bus, rail and King County Water Taxi.

Both of these programs allow the employer to share the cost of the pass with employees. Business Choice allows the employer to pass the entire cost of the benefit on to employees while still providing them the convenience of receiving their pass at work.
