King County Executive Dow Constantine distributed the following statement on the passing of Blake Nordstrom
“Blake Nordstrom lived a Northwest life. At his father’s namesake company, he worked from the stockroom to the executive suites as it expanded from coast to coast.
He also devoted his energy and creativity to the community, serving for many years on the governing board of the Committee to End Homelessness in King County, the predecessor to All Home. He focused on engaging businesses to be directly involved in tackling homelessness, whether as landlords, employers, or neighbors.
His dedication to his family and those who worked at Nordstrom, his commitment to shared prosperity for all, and his love for our region will surely be among his many legacies. He will be greatly missed.”
