Jeannie Macnab

Chief of Staff

Jeannie Macnab has spent most of her career at King County and has worked extensively in the health, housing, and criminal legal systems. Jeannie grew up in District 6 and her first job, as a Pony Ride Leader at Kelsey Creek Farm, was the beginning of her long career in public service. As Chief of Staff, Jeannie is responsible for managing staff and issue development generally. Jeannie’s focus areas are criminal justice, housing, and staffing the Regional Water Quality Committee, which Councilmember Balducci chairs. She is the mom of two girls and in her free time enjoys travel, reading, cooking, practicing yoga and exploring local beaches. Her family acquired, Ziki, their pandemic parrot in 2020.

Blake Trask

Deputy Chief of Staff

For almost two decades Blake has served as a facilitator, advocate, researcher and consultant on local, regional, state and federal transportation planning and policy, as well public outreach and stakeholder projects involving land use, water resources, and public works issues. He provides support for the District 6 office, issue development across Councilmember Balducci’s policy portfolio, and staffs her on a range of King County Metro, Sound Transit and Puget Sound Regional Council matters. He also manages external communications.

Ashley Song

Legislative Aide/Office Manager

Ashley manages Councilmember Balducci’s calendar, triages all of her emails and sees to the day-to-day of the office as the Office Manager. Ashley also staffs the Councilmember on the Eastrail Regional Advisory Council, the Japanese Legacy Project in Bellevue and the Equity & Social Justice (ESJ) Committee. She enjoys her work on restoring heritage art projects, social justice and the arts. Currently, Ashley serves on the Edmonds Art Commission where she resides and is a newly inspired watercolorist. She also enjoys built green architecture and design, loves all animals and is very close to her family.

Madeline Cavazos

Policy Analyst and Community Liaison

Madeline Cavazos joins the District 6 team as Human Services Policy Analyst and Community Liaison. Madeline graduated from Western Washington University and got her start in politics by working on campaigns. Most recently, she worked as legislative assistant to Rep. Joan McBride, serving the people of Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and the Points Cities. She lives in Seattle with her husband.
