Behavioral Health and Recovery Services
We provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals, families, and communities affected by mental health and/or substance use conditions.
Behavioral health services include crisis services, mental health treatment, substance use treatment, plus programs to help people with behavioral health challenges avoid jail and hospital visits or successfully reenter community after a crisis. Our services cover King County residents who are Medicaid eligible and meet certain medical eligibility requirements. We also provide services for low-income, non-Medicaid eligible residents.

Crisis Connections
Call our Regional Crisis Line: 206-461-3222 if you or a loved one has an immediate mental health crisis. Professionals are ready to help or can send behavioral health responders to help in-person.
Medicine saves lives
Call 206-289-0287 to talk to a physician and get a prescription for Buprenorphine, an opiate use medication. Carry Naloxone and be ready to save a life. Find Naloxone or have it sent to your door here.

For Clients
If you're currently receiving services, continue seeing your provider until you complete treatment.
Translation services are available:
- If you need an interpreter, please ask your agency to provide one. They are available at no cost to you.
- If you would like to contact King County Behavioral Health by phone and you need interpretation services, call the CTS Language Link toll free at 1-800-208-2620 or 24-hour hotline at 1-800-798-5144. The agency will call us with you on the line and provide interpreter services at no cost to you.

The rights of clients are central components of the services we provide. We offer tailored care that meets the needs of individuals, respecting their right to self-determination in mental health and substance abuse treatment options.
For Providers
- SUD Residential Phone Line: 855-682-0781. The SUD provider community is encouraged to use this number for questions related to King County’s SUD residential services. Knowledgeable, experienced staff are available to provide information and guidance Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
- SUD Residential Email Address: resauth@kingcounty.gov. Providers may forward SUD residential referral packets (via secure email) to this email address as well as any questions or concerns.
