Event description

Mid-summer is the perfect time to start planning fall and winter gardens.

For later harvests, it’s important to get seeds and starts in the garden early enough to allow them grow while the sun is still shining.

This workshop will cover:

  • vegetables and hardy greens that can be harvested throughout the fall and winter;
  • how to choose appropriate seeds and starts and where to get them; and
  • solutions for fitting new plants into an existing garden and germinating seeds in hot summer weather.

Please register for email reminders through the Fairwood Library. Walk-ins welcome.
