Document Code Numbers
Functional Code Definitions
Policies, Orders and Rules enacted under the Executive Policy System are provided with unique document code numbers. The document code numbers are assigned by the staff of the Archives, Records Management and Mail Services Section within DES-RALS. The coding system is based on a two-level functional classification system which is derived from an expired 1989 policy. The definitions of the two levels of functional codes from that policy are listed below.
Note that the below definitions might not reflect current county organizational structure or functions and the information on this page is provided for reference only. New codes have been created or chosen since then that more accurately reflect King County functions.
