King County Permits Needs to Take Key Steps to Ensure It Can Meet New State Law Requirements

Starting January 1, 2025, King County Permits (Permits) will need to review and process permit applications more quickly, as required by state law. In 2023, the Washington State Legislature passed Senate Bill 5290 requiring local governments to meet faster permit review times or be faced with possible penalties.
