About the Regional Justice Center
King County's Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center (RJC) houses Superior and District Courts as well as a 1457-bed correctional facility. The building was named for Norm Maleng, who was re-elected to seven consecutive terms as King County Prosecutor from 1979 until his death in 2007.

From Tacoma, I-5 traveling north
- Take the Kent/Des Moines exit.
- Travel to third light (Meeker Street) and turn left.
- Travel to Washington Street and turn left at light.
- Travel to James Street and turn right at light.
- Cross train tracks and turn right to enter parking garage at 620 James St.
- Public parking structure is on the right.
From Seattle, I-5 traveling south

The RJC is located on the corner of Fourth Avenue and James Street in the city of Kent, south King County. Visitors to the courthouse are encouraged to use public transit to avoid traffic congestion and parking difficulties. A number of public transportation options are available:
