From Crown to King: King County Changes Logo
After thirty-eight years of using an imperial crown as King County's logo, the King County Council adopted a logo more fitting of our democracy and the ideals of our diverse community. Twenty years after King County was renamed in honor of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the county will bear Dr. King's image as its official logo. The logo change will take place over five years in order to reduce material and equipment replacement costs. Read more about the logo change.
