Donations
Project CARE Donations
Many non-profits and organizations need donations to sustain operations and continue providing resources for those in need of services. Donations are the most immediate need at this time. The following is a list of possible opportunities that the County is aware of. If your non-profit 501c-3 organization is in need of donations and not listed here, please fill out the form here.
COVID-19 Response Fund
A coalition of philanthropic groups and major corporations in the Seattle area is launching a $2 million-plus campaign to help people disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus outbreak’s disruption of the economy. For more information on the fund, click here. To make a donation, click here. For the initial list of grants issued, click here.
Blood donations
Blood banks have seen a dramatic decrease in blood donations, which they rely on to provide lifesaving treatment for patients across the Northwest. Potential blood donors are exempt from stay-at-home orders in Washington. The US Surgeon General has encouraged residents to continue to give blood. For more information on how to give blood, please contact one of the following agencies.
Food Banks
Food Banks provide a critical service for low-income families, which only will be exacerbated by the economic turmoil caused by the Covid-19 outbreak. Food Banks in this time are in need of donations. There are many Food Banks throughout King County. A list is provided below. If you are an operator of a Food Bank that was inadvertently left off of this list, please fill out the form here.

Chinatown International District (CID) Relief Fund
The COVID-19 virus has been particularly devastating for businesses in the CID. 100% of donations to this fund goes directly to restaurants and other small businesses in the CID.
Small businesses have suffered significant loss of revenue since the beginning of February, when the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Washington State. The CID Restaurants and other Small Businesses Relief Fund – managed and disbursed by the CID Business Improvement Area, Friends of Little Saigon, and SCID pda – will give direct dollars to the small businesses in the CID to help them mitigate the impacts of this pandemic. The fund was seeded by a generous donation from Vulcan Inc. for $100,000. This initial contribution will focus on restaurants in the neighborhood, which have been experiencing business loss since early February. Additional donations raised by this fund will continue to be distributed directly to small businesses in the CID as we continue to learn the impacts of this situation on our neighborhood. For more information on this fund, click here. To donate, click here.

Many undocumented residents are also in need, but are specifically precluded from participating in many of the programs that you have recently read about in the news like unemployment insurance and health insurance programs. If you are interested in supporting these residents during this time of need, please use the following resources:
Support your favorite non-profit organization. This section has contained a list of non-profits who have a direct connection to the issues created by the COVID-19 virus. However, the spring season is typically when many non-profit organizations hold annual fund raisers. Those have or will likely be cancelled due to the stay-at-home order. Consider making a donation to an organization that supports a cause you are passionate about.
For ideas about potential charities, visit King County’s Employee Giving Campaign website.
