Monthly Telephonic Oath of Attorney Ceremony
(If you are a new law school graduate, please attend the KCBA swearing-in ceremonies following the release of the Bar Exam results from WSBA. The monthly ceremony is not designed to administer the oath to hundreds of admittees.)
As of January 18, 2022, Chief Civil Judge Tanya L. Thorp will hold the Oath of Attorney Ceremony telephonically on the 2nd Thursday of the month promptly at 3:30 p.m. The court has temporarily suspended in person walk-in ceremonies. The court will not be scheduling individual ceremonies until further notice.
Judge Thorp is also availing herself to administer the Limited Practice Officer (LPO) and Limited License Legal Technical (LLLT) oaths. These oaths will be held immediately following the oath of attorney ceremony at 3:50 p.m.

Once you have registered, on the date of the ceremony call:

- Call the conference line a few minutes prior to 3:30 p.m. for Oath of Attorney ceremony. For LPO/LLLT, call the conference line a few minutes before 3:50pm.
When prompted, dial the Conference ID and wait to be admitted into the call. - Once you are admitted into the call, please keep yourself on mute. Court staff will rollcall the applicants before the judge administers the oath. Please have your own copy of the Oath of Attorney on hand to follow along.
- Once the oath ceremony has concluded, the judge will sign the oath of attorney form and court staff will email the completed forms to admissions@wsba.org. The court will not return the completed oath forms to individual applicants. If you wish to obtain a completed oath of attorney form for your records, please contact the WSBA a few days after the ceremony.
