Visiting the plant

South Treatment Plant

Find out how you can visit South Plant through our plant tours, educational programming, and working farm, or visit our neighboring park where art, technology, and nature join in a unique way.

We offer many ways for the community to come and learn more about South Plant and the wastewater treatment process.

FLUSH FACT: CitySoil Farm is an educational and demonstration garden that supports university curriculum and student internships, and is developing relationships with high school and technical programs.

Educational programming

We offer K-12 education programs, public tours of the treatment plant, and outdoor workshops at CitySoil Farm. Visit our education page to learn more about these programs and view and the events calendar.

WaterWorks Gardens

WaterWorks Gardens is a public park and you can access it anytime without having to visit the plant as part of a specialized tour. This is a place where art, technology, and nature join in a unique way. Along with trails, public art, native plants and wildlife, the ponds and marshes of WaterWorks Gardens filter and clean stormwater from South Plant's 50 acres of roads, parking lots, and hard surfaces.
