Occupational immunizations

Immunizations required by your employer

Do you work in a health care setting, school or childcare?
Check that you are vaccinated against or have immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, and chickenpox. If you could be exposed to blood and bodily fluids in the workplace, make certain you receive the hepatitis B vaccine, optimally before completing any training programs.

Not sure if you're immune?
If you had these diseases in the past or don't know your vaccination status, check with your healthcare provider. S/he may be able to give you a blood test to determine whether or not you have immunity.

Does your job require international travel?
If so, you may be at higher risk of exposure to diseases that are no longer common in the United States, such as measles, rubella, diphtheria, and polio. Find more information about travel immunizations.

Learn more about the flu and COVID vaccines.
The flu causes U.S. workers to lose up to 111 million workdays each year. The flu vaccine can help you stay healthy and productive.
