Central Puget Sound Service Area
Mitigation Reserves Program
About
The Central Puget Sound service area comprises 91 square miles of WRIA 8 and WRIA 9 that drain directly to Puget Sound, as well as Vashon Island and Maury Island. Except for Vashon/Maury Island, much of the land area in this service area is relatively high density development relative to other service areas. Permittees with impacts to wetlands, streams, and buffers may be able to use the King County In-Lieu Fee Program to offset unavoidable impacts within the Central Puget Sound watershed.
