Research & Technology
The Technology Assessment Program investigates new ideas that may benefit WTD's operations and ability to create resources from wastewater. Close attention is given to technologies promising to improve performance, minimize costs, and reduce the environmental impacts of King County’s wastewater treatment facilities.
Since 1994, this team of scientists and engineers, with occasional support from key research partnerships, has put new wastewater treatment technologies under the microscope- because in WTD, we're not done until everything is treated thoroughly.
