We currently offer language translations on our site primarily through Google Translate. This helps visitors find and use information in the languages they speak, but the tool is not perfect. Automated translation may be inaccurate or errors may display on translated pages.
Google Translate is an external website. King County does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content.
Due to expected heavy traffic at the King County Elections Building, King County Permits customer service hours will temporarily move to the Renton Library (100 Mill Avenue S). When: October 17 – November 7, on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm
Permits
King County Permits provides land use, building, and fire regulatory and operating permits, code enforcement services, and a limited number of business licenses to the unincorporated areas of King County.

Keep final plans and permits displayed on-site
Approved building, fire and land use permits must be displayed prominently on construction and development sites.
Maintaining these records on-site is the responsibility of the applicant and/or contractor.
