Target Zero - King County logo

The coalition operates under a three-year strategic plan and is governed by a steering committee that outlines the priority areas of focus for traffic safety work in King County. The coalition also supports the state's Strategic Highway Safety Plan: Target Zero — a data-driven strategic plan developed by Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

  • Providing traffic safety education to the public and high risk groups
  • Educating coalition members on traffic safety trends and issues
  • Providing a venue for people interested traffic safety to network and collaborate
  • Tracking traffic crash data and adjusting program activities to address needs
  • Coordinating multi-jurisdictional patrols to enforce Washington's DUI, speed, seatbelt and other networks
