Please call ahead so that we can accommodate your visit and arrange for media badges to be prepared. Remember that blue and black pens are not allowed in many areas of the building. Red pens are fine – they can’t be viewed by our ballot scanning machines and ensure the ballot processing area remains secure.

King County Elections and the Seattle Foundation Grant Over $1 Million to Community-Based Organizations for Civic Engagement and Voter Registration
The Voter Education Fund is a government, philanthropic, and community partnership that aims to increase voter turnout and registration in historically disenfranchised communities. In the 2023-2024 cycle, King County Elections and Seattle Foundation will provide multi-year grants to 21 organizations and seed-level grants to ten others.
King County Elections to Host Virtual Workshops for Candidates on How to Run for Office
King County Elections (KCE) will host four virtual workshops for those interested in running for office. Information covered will include how to file for office, key deadlines, submitting your local voters’ pamphlet statement, voter lists, and much more. The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) will join each session to go over basic campaign disclosure requirements.

King County Elections (KCE) mailed ballots to registered voters in the City of Seattle and Enumclaw School District for the February 14, 2023 Special election. KCE projects a 33% turnout for this election.
King County Mails Ballots to Nearly 1.4 Million Voters, Launches Ballot Alerts
King County Elections (KCE) mailed out nearly 1.4 million ballots to registered voters across King County today for this year’s General Election. KCE also announced the launch of ballot alerts - text and email notifications that alert voters as their ballot makes its way through the process.
