COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Eastgate Public Health

  • Walk-in vaccination (no appointment required) is available for the week of August 30 - September 3, 2021:
    • Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8:30 am - 3:30, (closed for lunch 12:15pm – 1:00pm)
    • Tuesdays: Closed
    • Fridays: 9:30am – 4:30pm (closed for lunch 12:15pm – 1:00pm)

  • Walk-in vaccination (no appointment required) starting on Tuesday September 7, 2021:
    • Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 4:30pm (closed for lunch 12:15pm – 1:00pm)
    • Closed on Monday, Sept. 6th in observance of Labor Day

  • We will continue to be open to both scheduled clients and walk-ins, offer all 3 FDA-approved vaccines, and serve clients 12 years and older. For any questions, call 206-477-3284.

  • *For those who need to be fully vaccinated by October 18th, all doses need to be given by October 4th. For Moderna, 1st dose should be given by Monday, 9/6 (by 9/10 at the latest). For Pfizer, 1st dose should be given by Monday, 9/13 (by 9/17 at the latest).

  • We also offer third doses of mRNA vaccine to eligible* immunocompromised clients, although they should consult their healthcare provider first. If/when boosters become available to the general public, we will keep you posted (soonest will be 8 months after 2nd dose; only for mRNA vaccine recipients). *Read CDC guidelines linked to see what conditions currently qualify for a 3rd dose.

Women, Infants and Children nutrition program (WIC)
Moms and babies may be eligible for $100 of free food every month. Call 206-263-9300 for more information.

Specific hours: Mon. and Tues., 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Wed., 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

WIC is a supplemental food program for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, infants and children and also provides health screening, nutrition and health education, breastfeeding promotion and support, help getting other services and checks for nutritious foods.

You may be eligible for WIC services if:

  • Live in Washington state, and
  • Are pregnant, a new mother, or a child under five years of age, and
  • Meet the income guidelines
  • Have a medical or nutrition need.

    Specific hours:

  • Adult health care clinic
    Services include medical care when you are sick, care for ongoing problems and chronic diseases, check-ups and screenings for hidden diseases like cancer, and vaccination against disease.
  • Child health care clinic (Pediatrics)
    Medical care when your child is sick, well child check-ups, immunizations (shots against disease); checks on your child's health, growth and development. Children receive care from pediatricians.
  • Children with Special Health Care Needs
    Assist in planning and obtaining medical care and other resources for the child with a disability or a condition that may prevent normal growth and development.

  • Family Planning
    Family planning services and education and reproductive health care includes HIV and STD screening, pregnancy tests, birth control and referrals.

    Wednesdays: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

  • HIV screening
    Basic evaluation of risk factors, client education on risk reduction and blood testing to check for HIV (virus that causes AIDS).
  • Maternity Support Services (MSS) and
    Infant Case Management (ICM)

    MSS helps pregnant women find health insurance, local doctors or midwives and other community resources to support a healthy pregnancy. The ICM program provides support and referral to needed medical, social, educational and other resources in your community so that your baby and family can thrive.

    The pharmacy is closed for lunch Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm and Wednesdays, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

  • Teen clinic
    Specific hours:
    Wednesdays,
    1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Walk-ins welcome.
    Provide education and services for pregnancy prevention and for pregnant, parenting teens, and at-risk teens.

Environmental Health

  • Food protection
    Learn how to get a food worker permit, food business permit, the food inspection system and the food safety rating system.
  • On-site sewage systems (OSS)
    Helps to ensure that septic systems in King County are safe. Septic systems treat wastewater when homes and buildings are not connected to public sewer systems.
  • Plumbing and gas piping permits
    How to get a homeowner's plumbing permit and gas piping permit.
  • Private well systems
    Public Health's role is to prevent communicable disease and illness associated with drinking water from small public and individual private water systems.
  • School plan review and inspections
    Reviews and approves new school sites and plans for public and private schools K-12.
  • Water recreation permits
