STORY

After nearly a year of gathering and evaluating public feedback, King County Local Services has released two documents related to the update of the Snoqualmie Valley/Northeast King County Subarea Plan. Residents in the area covered by the plan are encouraged to comment on this new material through Feb. 24.

County planners today released the following documents:

The Subarea Plan Concept Document includes a summary of community engagement carried out so far by the planners, a community vision statement, guiding principles that support the vision, and a scope of work for the Subarea Plan. The Summary of the Proposed Map Amendments briefly describes a series of changes to land use designations and zoning development regulations that will accompany the Subarea Plan.

Input from residents on these documents will guide creation of a Public Review Draft of the Snoqualmie Valley/Northeast King County Subarea Plan and Map Amendments, scheduled to be published June 1.

“This process is extremely important to the long-term future of the Snoqualmie Valley and Northeast King County,” Principal Subarea Planner Jesse Reynolds said. “Don’t miss your opportunity to help shape future development in your area.”
