We currently offer language translations on our site primarily through Google Translate. This helps visitors find and use information in the languages they speak, but the tool is not perfect. Automated translation may be inaccurate or errors may display on translated pages.

King County and its partner cities are working to achieve growth management and land conservation goals through the implementation of TDR. Information on using TDRs in unincorporated King County and in current TDR partner cities can be found using the King County TDR Partners Cities & Receiving Areas Map.
Once development rights from sending sites become certified, the sending site is protected from future development, and the TDRs are available to use at receiving sites, which are parcels of land located where the existing services and infrastructure can accommodate additional growth - mostly in urban areas.
