Easy Being Green

Flushing Awesome
Keeping troublesome trash out of the wastewater treatment system is the aim of WTD's new "Flushing Awesome" campaign. It costs about $120,000 a year to remove items like wipes, tampons and other trash from the system and take it to the landfill, not to mention increased costs for system operation and maintenance.
