Property Tax Payment
Taxpayers planning to visit the King County Administration Building to pay their first half 2016 property taxes in person, be aware that the county-owned Goat Hill Garage is closed to public parking
through mid-May. Check the garage's project page
for more information on parking or public transportation alternatives.
Property tax statements for 2016 were mailed on February 12. First half 2016 taxes must be paid or postmarked by May 2, 2016 to avoid delinquency charges. Prior year delinquent payments can be made at any time. To make online payment(s), go to the King County E-commerce Property Tax Web page. It may take up to a week for your property tax payment to be reflected in our records after we receive it. Even after we show your account in PAID status on our website, if your bank rejects the transaction, it can be reversed off of our system once we are notified. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to confirm successful posting with their bank. If you pay online by electronic check (debit to your checking account), you should see this reduction in your bank account within three business days even though our system may not yet reflect the payment.
