Tips on how to give

  • Never give items that are wet or mildewed – they can contaminate an entire load of usable items.
  • Do not give items that have been soiled with hazardous materials, such as oil-soaked rags. These are not reusable or recyclable and can contaminate other usable materials.

Damaged clothes, shoes, and linens are put into bales and sent to brokers who sort them
Up to 95 percent of the clothes, shoes, and linens that are thrown in the garbage could have been reused or recycled. By giving these items, we can all keep a huge amount of waste out of landfills.
