Frequently Asked Questions about the survey

Starting in 2009, Public Health – Seattle & King County has been conducting surveys at Pride events in Seattle annually, our main goal is HIV prevention.

Every year we have included men who have sex with men, whether gay identified or not. In recent years we added transgender people who have sex with men and restricted eligibility to WA residents; last year we recruited all LGBTQN+ living in WA!

From ~300 to over 1,500 each year.

Some basic demographics, gender identity, sexual experiences, STI screening and diagnoses, PrEP use, knowledge and attitude questions, and in 2020, questions about COVID-19.

See Pride Survey 2020 Results above for a recent example.
