CARES ACT - Food Security Assistance Program
On July 8, 2020, the King County Council enacted an ordinance related to COVID-19; establishing a food security assistance program in response to the increased demand for food assistance as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency. The funds appropriated to the food security assistance program is $4,830,000 and these funds expire on December 30, 2020. The ordinance specifies that recipients shall have options to acquire culturally appropriate foods that may be difficult to secure through traditional stores.

Communities of Opportunity (COO) Partnerships, Community of Practice
Communities of Opportunity (COO) currently works with nine Place Based and Cultural Community partnerships in King County. Each of these partnerships has a lead organizer whose role is to support the coordination of the activities of all partners, convene and strengthen the partnership and manage the deliverables of the COO funded activities. COO seeks an individual, organization or team to co-design with COO staff a peer learning group "Community of Practice", for leads of COO partnerships.

On-site Sewage System Workshop Development and Rebate Program Administration

With funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the On-site Sewage System Operation & Maintenance (OSS O&M) program of Public Health — Seattle & King County's (PHSKC) Environmental Health Services (EHS) Division is requesting proposals to develop and facilitate a virtual, interactive on-site sewage system maintenance workshop, create community outreach materials to advertise the workshop, and administer the associated rebate program. The grant's efforts are focused on Vashon-Maury Island and the Poverty Bay Shellfish Protection District.

Electronic Home Monitoring Community
The goal of this project is to contract with one or more community based organization(s) to meet the needs, as defined by the youth and their families, of youth and their families impacted by EHM. The intended outcome of this project is for youth and family members or guardians to benefit from interventions that are therapeutic, restorative, strengths-based, racially and ethnically affirming and founded on culturally appropriate practices that emphasize healing.

Clinical services for Breast Cervical Health Program
Public Health — Seattle & King County's Breast, Cervical, and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) is seeking applications from clinical service providers interested in providing breast and cervical screening and/or treatment services as needed to BCCHP eligible clients to receive screenings for colorectal cancers, living in King, Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap counties.
