Metro offers nonstop football shuttle service in partnership with the Seahawks and Huskies from several park-and-ride locations. In a change from past years, both teams are contracting for private shuttles to operate from some locations. Story

Fans watching the Seahawks or Huskies games this weekend can ride Metro-operated shuttle buses directly to the stadiums from several park-and-ride locations. For Seahawks fans, Metro will operate direct service on game day from the Eastgate and South Kirkland park-and-rides to CenturyLink Field. 

Metro will no longer operate dedicated Seahawks service from the Northgate Transit Center. Private shuttle service will be available for fans traveling from that location.

Sunday’s home opener kick-off is scheduled for 1:25 p.m.

To ride Metro-operated Seahawks service, customers must purchase an $8 round trip voucher for each person age 6 and older.

Post-game park-and-ride direct service buses depart from southbound Fifth Avenue South at Weller Street. The last bus to each park-and-ride leaves the CenturyLink Field area 45 minutes after the game [NOTE: Metro-operated shuttle service has been canceled for the remainder of the season].

Huskies options

Dawg fans traveling to Saturday’s game at Husky Stadium can ride Metro-operated direct service from six park-and-rides, including Eastgate, Houghton, Kingsgate, South Kirkland, Federal Way and South Renton. 

Metro will no longer operate direct service from the Northgate Transit Center or the Shoreline park-and-ride. The Huskies gameday transportation website has information on private shuttle service for fans traveling from those locations.

Metro’s pre-game shuttles leave park-and-ride lots as they fill starting 2½ hours prior to kick-off time from most locations, and about 3 hours before the game from south-end locations.  Saturday’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The last buses leave from each park-and-ride approximately one hour before kick-off. 

A $7 round trip voucher is required for each person age 6 and older to board any Metro-operated Husky service. Vouchers can be purchased from the vendor located at each park-and-ride lot. 

No passes or transfers are accepted on any park-and-ride direct service, including ORCA and UPASS. Game tickets are not accepted as fare on any service.

While every effort is made to accommodate all Husky customers, fans are encouraged to allow plenty of time to get to the games, due to expected traffic and congestion. Fans who miss the last park-and-ride shuttle may ride regular transit service. 

Fans also can ride Link light rail to downtown Seattle, the SODO light rail station or the University of Washington station. 

Regular buses rerouted 

Fans and regular Metro riders should be prepared for heavy traffic, reroutes and delays on Saturday and Sunday. 

On Saturday, expect bus and car traffic on Montlake Boulevard and Northeast Pacific Street in advance of the Huskies game. Riders of most regular Metro routes serving the UW Link light rail station (31, 32, 44, 45, 65, 67, 71, 73, 75, 271 and 372) will be rerouted to 15th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Campus Parkway before and immediately after the game (see details online).  

U-District shuttle to Link light rail

Riders headed to or from the Link station or Husky Stadium can walk or ride a free Metro shuttle bus the rest of the way. The U-District shuttle bus will operate about every 7½ minutes from a regular posted southbound bus stop on University Avenue Northeast just north of Northeast Pacific Street. The shuttle will serve stops along Pacific Street in both directions.
