Judges who perform weddings - District Court

Learn how to schedule a wedding ceremony with a District Court judge.

Schedule a wedding ceremony

To schedule a wedding with a District Court judge, you must contact a specific judge. Refer to the List of King County District Court judges who perform weddings.

Call the judge you would like to schedule a wedding with, at their listed phone number. If the judge is not available to answer your call, you will be connected to voice mail. Leave a message including your name, phone number, and when you would like to schedule the wedding.

Available wedding times

District Court judges do not perform weddings between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Judges may perform weddings before 8:30 am or after 4:30 pm on weekdays, or any time on weekends and holidays. Weddings are by appointment only.

What to bring to your wedding ceremony

On the day of your ceremony, you will need to bring with you:

  • The entire marriage license envelope containing all the documents
  • 2 people aged 18 years or older as your witnesses to sign the documents

The wedding ceremony fee is set by each judge. Please ask the judge what their fee is and how it should be paid.
